Who we are
Heriau is the name of our learning and challenge platform. This policy applies to the website, any Heriau mobile apps, and any linked community spaces operated under the Heriau brand.
What data we collect
We may collect account information you provide, Discord identifiers and server activity where you connect to our community, basic device and browser information, and usage data generated by Plausible Analytics.
If you submit content, messages, feedback, or support requests, we will process the information contained in those submissions.
Discord data
If you join or interact with our Discord community, we may store your Discord user ID, display name, role or membership status, and records of moderation or participation where needed to manage access, safety, or support.
We use Discord data to administer community spaces, verify participation where required, respond to support requests, and maintain a safe environment. We do not use Discord data for unrelated advertising.
Plausible Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand high-level site usage. Plausible is configured to be privacy-friendly and does not rely on cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics may include page paths, referrers, approximate location, device and browser type, and other aggregated visit information. We use this data to improve the site, content, and user experience.
How we use data
We use data to run the service, provide access to challenges and community features, communicate about updates, maintain safety and moderation, measure performance, and comply with legal or platform obligations.
App Store and Play Store requirements
This policy is intended to satisfy privacy policy publication requirements for Apple App Store and Google Play listings by describing what we collect, why we collect it, and how users can contact us about their data.
If future Heriau mobile apps collect additional data such as push notification tokens, crash logs, or account profile information, those details will be added here before release.
How to access games
A list of live game links is available on our Games page at /games.
Where available, game cards include direct web links and links to iOS App Store and Google Play listings.
Sharing and disclosure
We only share personal data with service providers or third parties when necessary to run the platform, comply with law, protect users, or operate community features such as Discord. We do not sell personal data.
Children and age-appropriate use
Heriau content may be used by children in educational settings. We design services to minimise personal data collection and avoid behavioural advertising.
Where law or platform policy requires parental or guardian involvement, we will provide appropriate controls and contact routes.
Retention
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes and support moderation. Analytics data is retained according to Plausible settings and our operating needs.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data where applicable law gives you those rights. If you no longer want to participate in Discord-based features, you can leave the community and ask us to remove linked records where we are able to do so.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Heriau team through the official support route listed in the app or on the website. If you are using a mobile app store listing, the same contact details should also be included there.
